Information we collect
When you contact us, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, telephone number, property location, service required, preferred timing, message and uploaded photographs. We may retain correspondence and relevant quotation, installation, inspection and maintenance records. Please only upload information needed for your enquiry and avoid including people, documents or other sensitive details in photographs.
Website and service providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser and device information, pages visited and security logs. Optional analytics are described below.
How and why we use information
We use enquiry details to respond, assess your requirements, prepare quotations and arrange work. Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, or performing a contract where one exists. For general business correspondence, website operation, security and maintaining appropriate business records, we rely on legitimate interests, balanced against your rights. We may also process records to meet legal obligations. Optional analytics rely on your consent.
Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to a marketing mailing list. If we request consent for another purpose, we will explain it separately.
Who receives information
Relevant team members and service providers may access information where needed to handle your request or operate our business. The enquiry form is provided by Jotform. The website is hosted on Cloudflare, and optional analytics use Google Analytics and Clicky. Hosting, email and business support providers may process information on our behalf. We may disclose information where legally required or necessary to establish or defend legal claims.
International processing
Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where a restricted international transfer applies, appropriate safeguards are required, such as approved contractual protections or an applicable adequacy arrangement. Please contact us for details relevant to the processing of your information.
How long information is kept
We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including handling enquiries, delivering services, maintaining relevant work and certification records, meeting recordkeeping obligations and resolving disputes. Cookies, storage and analytics choices
You can accept or decline Google Analytics and Clicky using the analytics preferences panel. These optional services load only after acceptance on the production website. They help us understand website use and interactions such as quote-link, phone-link and email-link clicks; a click does not confirm that an enquiry was submitted.
We store your analytics choice in your browser using local storage under the name tek-analytics-choice for up to 180 days. This remembers your preference. You can reopen Analytics settings at any time to change your choice. Declining after accepting reloads the page to stop further optional tracking through our loader. Existing provider cookies may remain until they expire or you remove them using your browser settings.
The embedded Jotform enquiry service may use storage or cookies needed for form functionality and security. Third-party services have their own privacy information: Jotform, Cloudflare, Google and Clicky. Blocking cookies or scripts may affect the embedded form; you can contact us by telephone or email instead.
Your rights and questions
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access to your information, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, and may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. These rights are subject to applicable conditions and exceptions.
